Ok, I got motivated a bit from awdark's latest post =P (and the fact I can't sleep from a stomach ache I'm feeling right now @__@) I really should update my blog more. Because my memory's not that great, I like reading back on past entries to reminisce the good and bad times in my life that's now permanently scribed onto the internet. ^^;;
I can't really say what I did day to day since the time I updated last which was the beginning of October. So I'll talk about the more 'big' things that's been happening.
School: I'm feeling a lot better about this now. I don't mind talking about it, but... I am a bit ashamed I'm taking so long =/ But it all won't matter as soon as I get a Bachelors! I'm so desperate on getting out of school that I've randomly applied to the nearest CSU schools. I'm thinking it's not a good idea now that several weeks have passed since I've sent applications. ...Oh well, we'll see what happens.
Games: Left 4 Dead is sooo an It game for me right now! It's so much fun! I had a classmate (who works at Gamestop) to get L4D2 for me. It was $30 on Black Friday. Adding the pre-order discount that he had and didn't use, it was around $30 anyway without the tax. He also got me the pre-order bonus: Aluminum bat! The in-game melee weapon~
I've been playing a lot of L4D1 throughout the mid-end of November. I got confident enough to start playing Campaign Mode online. It's funny because I'm a frickin' rockstar on Normal xD This one time, when I got mauled by a horde, one of the players were saying that they need to be more careful and do better because I'm not there to protect them, oh ho ho ;D ...And then when I tried out Advance, I feel like a newbie =X I wonder what difficulty I should play if my skill level's somewhere in the middle.
L4D2... Oh maaan oh man. I feel like I'm playing a different game. The series is kind of like Final Fantasy, where they have similar enemies, same theme, but with different... stuff ^^;; Compared to the first I feel like I'm playing a first person shoot 'em up because there are soooo many zombies that come at you. You know,... like playing Metal Slug, with first person perspective. Everything's changed for the better, except for Single Player mode. L4D2 requires a lot more co-op work that feels short-handed when you're not playing with human partners. I was really struggling playing the first Campaign... on NORMAL >__<;;
Playing with friends are really fun in games like this. But in my opinion, if the skill level between your friend is something like Normal to Expert? ...Not so much. Actually, I totally feel this everytime I play with certain friends. It doesn't help me get any better, maybe except to get more familiar with the map and the strategies. I'm looking into friends who has a similar skill level as me. My steam ID is srenity. Add me =]
DS-wise, I've started up Devil Survivor. This game has been compared to The World Ends With You many many times. Now that I've been playing for awhile (I'm on the 4th day, I think) I can see why. The only other SMT game I've played is Persona 4 so I'm getting KIND of familiar with how these games are played out. It's pretty addicting so far. I don't know why, but I really like auction buying demons and fusing them to get more demons xD Maybe it's the girl in me, but if two demons fuse to some ugly demon, I don't let them fuse, hahhaha xD But yeah, I'm really liking this game! I'm really curious as to how the story will unfold =]
Relatives: Since none of my friends probably read this, and I'm the type that don't really talk about the super personal stuff with my friends. So it'll be a bit comforting to kinda type out what I'm feeling. My grandfather has cancer. Terminal.
This is the first time that someone that's actually involved in my life may pass away any time soon. I NEED school and work right now (work= $$ for tuition, future tuition, and personal needs) so I'm feeling kind of terrible that I've only visited him once since he was hospitalized. I got to see him on Thanksgiving with the rest of my family ...He seemed so much thinner from the previous time I saw him. Because my Korean skills are very limited I just don't know what to say. Then again, if he understood English, then I wouldn't really know what to say either. I'm too shy and afraid to ask my parents and siblings on what's going on with him. My sister's been blogging about his updates so I've been learning from that. I don't want to get too detailed on it, because it'd be waaay too personal. But I'd like to vent out what I've been feeling ever since I've heard the news...
The man has been smoking more than several cigarettes in his life which is what I gathered how he got the cancer. I'm not gonna force my smoking friends not to smoke because of what's happening to my grandfather, but I hope they know that their health will deteriorate quickly and it'll come back to bite them in the a$$ as they get older. I hope they know that the people closest to them are going to be feeling what my family is feeling/struggling with right now. I have never even had a puff of a cigarette and I never will. Haha, I remember I told when my friend pressured me into taking a smoke. I kept saying 'no' and then told them 'if [then-boyfriend] ever broke up with me, then give me a cigarette and I'll smoke it'. Well, the guy broke up with me a month later and the jerk of a friend hinted 'remember the deal?' But honestly? I just wanted them to get off my back and saying 'I'll do it eventually' seemed to make them stop. Soo.. if you're ever going to pressure me to smoke and I agree to it? Chances are, I'm pretty much lying =P Same goes for drinking. I HATE the sick feeling that I get and hate hate HATE the fact that one of my friends pressure me to drink so much. The most I'll have on my own will will be like... a sip. After all, that's all I really need to get comfortable and loosened up, hahahaa ^^;;;;;;;
Ahhhhh... That felt good to get it out somewhere =]
Regimen: I think it's appropriate to make this entry seem a bit lighter hearted in the end =] I've started to actively use "my" gym membership. Yes, 'actively' was intended and quotes around 'my' because... it really isn't under my name =P I used to go a bit before I got that weird flu over the summer. Before that flu I was about 155lbs. OMG, did I just post my weight for the public to see? =P After working out for awhile and regularly checking the scale, I've realized the numbers don't really matter since I'm also trying to gain a bit of muscle. And muscle as we know weighs more than fat. Therefore, if you're working out a lot, the scale will say you're gaining weight. Does that make sense???
Anyways, I've stopped working out after I've had the flu and I was down to 145! I think it was because I lost a lot of muscle from just sleeping all day trying to recuperate. Carl wanted to be fit before he goes to his trip to Taiwan and told me that I should start working out again. So yeah, I've been going to the gym with him a lot. And time goes by much faster with a gym buddy =] Sometimes when we don't have much to talk about, we just bring our MP3 players with us =P I've been trying to go to the gym 4 times a week since about 2-3 months ago and I'm really seeing results =] I can actually feel my ribs without having to suck my stomach in and see them in sunlight! I haven't been able to do that for a loonnng time! I'm not saying I want to be stick thin... I just want to be able to wear Medium sized stuff, be stronger, and most of all, confident.
This week, I've been a bit lazy and haven't worked out any day this week. My muscles have rested and I lost a bit more weight... Oh! Did I tell you I'm taking yoga as one of my classes this semester? My weight is currently comfortable at 140-143. I'm pretty happy with what's going on so far. I'm also eating a lot less meat and restricting my intake of sweets >__<;; Gym routine is mostly cardio and weights when I don't feel like running. It's giving great results to my complexion though~ ^Dirty mirror! Sorry =P You know how when you wake up in the morning, your stomach is nice and flat looking compared to when you have your first meal of the day? Well, my goal is to have that 'morning stomach', but still have it nice and flat looking through-out the day xP Yup, the picture posted is my 'morning stomach'. , I wish I took a picture before I started to consistently work out because there's quite an improvement! I have a more defined waist underneath all that fat! My goal is to get it to show up sometime =P
I'll try to update more so I don't have huge long entries like this. Most people these days are like "Too long, did not read" thanks to character-limited status entries like Facebook and Twitter ^^;;
See you next time!

The strange title? Sometimes my keyboard stops working properly and doesn't input when i use b, n, or the / key. Maybe it's time to get a new one or something!
Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, the 1.5 months have been both eventful and uneventful at the same time! It's like... eventful for me, but may be uneventful for most, if you catch my drift? ...Maybe? Lemme check my facebook and twitter to see what I can update with (since I'm sure I post up highlights of my day/week on them =P )
8/25 James and I went down to San Diego to visit Ed. I never knew that all Fry's locations have a certain theme to them! The one down there had an aquarium-like theme. Daang, there's soo many water/ocean related stuff in SD! That's to be expected though, right? Keeping up with the aquatic theme, we had all-you-can-eat sushi at Tadashi Sushi at La Jolla. I thought it was pretty typical for an AYCE sushi since they all seem the same IMO, but they actually have Ama-ebi as part of their AYCE menu. I don't see that very often. This place was the first time I've tried Ama-ebi and it was sooo yummy (see above picture)! It was located next to the beach so we walked a tiny bit. It's very beautiful down there, and people were kayaking below. I wanna try that sometime =]
Again keeping with the aquatic theme, we went to the Birch Aquarium near UCSD. I was wearing one of my game shirts and the guy noticed and said that he liked that company. And for some reason, he mentioned a certain game that I was in a trailer for... Ed and I wondered if the guy remembered me from there... O__O;; To end the day, we had waffle-yo and karaoke at Convoy. I had Ed come up to the OC 'cause we couldn't have Erica join us on the weekday since she has school and all. I think we watched District 9 and had curry at Curry House. I don't remember much from that ^^;;
9/2 I started school, but this time, I feel a bit more ambitious than I usually do. I hope I keep that feeling for awhile. I'm only taking 10 credits worth again because of work so it's not too bad. I wish I can take a full load but those darn art classes are 3 hours long! Takes up too much time >__<;; My favorite class so for is my 3D Color/Design and Yoga. The teacher has some great ideas for projects!
Yoga's really helpful in my stage of life. I'm not saying I'm old or anything but I've been visiting the chiropractor to recover from my accident. Maybe it was because of the accident, but my body's super tight and stiff when it shouldn't be happening for another two years+. I can no longer touch my toes with my legs locked straight and can't do several stretches without feeling pain because I'm no longer as invincible as I was when I was 16 or so. I'm hoping I can go to group exercise yoga class at the gym after the semester's over though =]
9/9 Restaurant.com... I think I've just started to use them around June-ish and I'm really starting to appreciate them! Basically it's a site where you can get $10, $25, $50, $75, $100 gift certificates for only $4, $10, $20, $30, $40 respectively! (only for participating restaurants, restrictions apply, see site for details. <--pretend I'm saying this in the fast-talking-announcer-guy/girl-in-the-end-of-a-commercial way!) On slickdeals.net, they would have coupons for this site advertising 60%,-80% off. But for 9/09/2009, they had them for 90% off! WHAT A FRICKIN' STEAL! I got about 5 sets of $10 and $25 GCs for a bit over $10 =] Here are a few places that I liked so far: -Taleo Grill, Irvine - Their food is pricey so it's easy to use a $25 GC there for just two entrees. Their world-famous flan is the beautiful thing pictured above -Shimura Restaurant, Fountain Valley - Not the best, but not the worst either. It's close to Carl's so it works out =P Their salmon nigiri is accompanied with slivers of onions and scallions drizzled with ponzu sauce (and it's soo good!) Hope that a customer will order the Sculpin Sashimi when you're there. The sushi chefs will kill the fish in front of you! =D - Cosi, Costa Mesa -I love this place! Aaaand you don't have to tip so you save more money! I want to try their S'Mores someday... -Ale Roma Cucina, Orange -Not a lot of reviews for this place. They're mostly negative because of the service. But when we went, we had great service and the food was pretty good =] -The Melting Pot, Irvine -I've yet to use this one... I've only been there once and I really liked the dessert fondue! I can't wait to go =]
I've actually made a 'Food Adventures' album with pictures taken from places I've eaten on Facebook =D
9/10 It was his birthday and he wanted to go to Disneyland! We both go in for free since those who go to the park on their birthday get in free and I just borrowed my sister's annual pass =P I was sooo scared they might ask for my ID or something though >__<;; It worked out! I had such a great time apart from Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion being down for maintenance =/
The day after, he had a joined birthday dinner with another one of his friend at Gyu Kaku in Fountain Valley. Carl and I shared a Geisha dinner combo and it was reeeally good! It's way too expensive to go without an occasion to celebrate D: The only gripe about this place is the lighting. Bad lighting+Korean BBQ style self-service BBQing= good chance of eating undercooked meat =/ I overcooked a lot of stuff, better safe than sorry, right?? >___<;;; I met a lot of his friends which was what I wanted to do for a long time =]
9/13 VMA 2009. I'm not into it or anything but we all know by now what the highlight of that awards show was. The Kanye meme is EVERYWHERE and they're all so hilarious! Taylor Swift's "You Belong to Me" has been getting a lot of radio-attention since the incident. I think it makes me think it's all staged! =P
Games-related I've been playing Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (I know it was released late August, but I was working on KITN at the time!) and Scribblenauts! FLATDB is getting really annoying IMO. The kind of puzzles that they have for this one are the puzzles I really hated back in The Curious Village >=[ so i stopped and started on Scribblenauts. That game is soo fun! I'm two puzzles away from solving all of them and I can't use GameFAQs! >__<;; I'm looking at my game shelf to see what I should be working on now... I'm thinking either replay all of the Ace Attorney series or try Harvest Moon DS again =P
I've been watching Carl play a lot of Batman: Arkham Asylum that month. That game looks really great and I wish I have a PS3 to play it... He let me try out some of the brawling challenges and it's a lot harder than it looks ^^;; Well, I can pass them and all but he goes for the ultimate combos and want to finish the game at 100% Now that he's finished finishing the game, he picked up Street Fighter 4 again. I tried it out too but I'm just not cut out to play fighting games ;___; The best luck I've had in that game was learning to play Viper and Bison. I had my heart set out to play Abel but his moves are so hard to execute! I think Viper was easy for me because I learned to play Ryu to start with and most of her moves are based off his moves =] But when I play against the CPU for the regular game, I'm just executing moves with no tactic. It's too hard for me, but I'm gonna keep trying! :3 They've recently released a new character for Super SF4 who is a Korean chick named Juri. He thinks I should play as her, hahahha.
I'm thinking about getting a PS3, but I'm afraid it might be a waste of money since I'm rarely home to play consoles =/
Yuuup, that's about it for September! (I think...) And this entry's waay too long so if I'm missing something, I'll add it to the next one =P

Watched a lot of movies this month =P -The Hangover (it was released in June, but we watched it early August!) -District 9 (I LOVED this one!) -Funny People (movie was... ehh~) -Thirst [박쥐] (intense and disturbing O_O;; It got really good towards the middle-end! ) ^Because of this, I finally signed up for a Regal Card =P
Currently playing: -Knights in the Nightmare -REEEEALLY hard to learn (the tutorial section seems endless), but I finally got the hang of it on my fourth battle. It's pretty fun and there's lots of thinking too. But most of all: the artwork's AMAZING!! -Dragon Quest 5 -Ok, I beat the game, and I finally got to beat the optional boss (in 47 turns he says!). When I get bored/frustrated with KITN, I play DQ5 with the character marrying Deborah. She's so hilarious =P -Streets of Rage 2 -I had Carl download this on Wii-Ware for the Wii so I can play with him when we have nothing planned to do =P I'm really rusty, but I did alright hahahaha. I loved this game xD -Brain Age: Arts and Expression -It's a DSi-Ware game that I bought/downloaded (800 points = $8). It's pretty fun so far and I unlocked the Challenge mode because my Brain Age is always 20 *brag* *brag* =P I like the Theme Album section of this game. You can have a collection of your friends' pictures and drawings =] -Flip Notes -DSi-Ware application (and it's free!) where you can make your own animations =D I only made one gif but it came out to be really slow when I uploaded it on the computer. I wish I knew how to speed it up =/ -Starcraft -^Seems weird right? Well, I got inspired to start Campaign mode again after going to Blizzcon last weekend =]
[facebook album] <--Blizzcon pictures here
I got to play both Starcraft II and Diablo III (didn't care much for WOW because I don't play it =P ). I played and waited in line thrice for each game xP
Starcraft II I have to say I enjoyed SC2 a lot more after trying out Skirmish mode and tried out the new units. But they only gave you 20 minutes so I didn't get to use all the new ones. There's different updates/new buildings to need to build to get stuff too. I tried both campaign stages that were offered as well.
Diablo III -I tried out 3/4 classes available: Wizard, Witch doctor, and Barbarian (didn't try the new Monk though). It's pretty fun, and even more fun when I played with three other people =] My favorite race from what I played is probably the Witch Doctor, but they're too ugly =[ =[ =[ =[ =[ =[ (I know, such a girl-answer =X ) There's a LOT to improve on this game, so I hope they'll have like... customizable clothes and stuff for your characters, I want to pretty up my Witch Doctor. If not, I'll probably stick to the Wizard class =P
I'm glad that James made me stay for the Costume contest because I had a lot of fun watching others' creativity. Most costumes were WOW related, but I still enjoyed looking at them~ Compared to Anime Expo, these people have SKILLS! There were so many great costumes! I didn't care much for the Sound-a-like and the Dance-a-like contests though.

| Fun with DSi camera's Mischief app
I was super bored at work one day, hahhahaa: ^ Bottom right for the 'Dat ass' meme hahahaha xD As you can see, the DSi's camera quality isn't really awesome at all. In fact, it's as "good" as a cellphone camera. Still fun though =] ^ You probably can't tell (most likely not because these pictures were taken with my hair up, hahaha), but I cut and dyed my hair. I didn't like how it looked fresh out of the salon, but I like it a lot better now =]
All 13 pictures can be found on my facebook album (but I think everyone who I'm subscribed to and still is active on xanga have my facebook account anyway =P )
Speaking of DS and bored-at-work, I finished Dragon Quest 5! I liked it much much much better than Dragon Quest 4, mostly probably because the party talk works in this one. I have to say that the final boss is a lot more easier than I thought. I didn't know I was fighting the final boss until I asked Carl about it o_O;;;
The next game I'm gonna try to play is either Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor or Knights in the Nightmare. I'm leaning towards SMT: DS because I know learning how to play KITN will be pretty difficult D: I also want to play Persona 3... but I don't remember who's borrowing my copy =/
Speaking of SMT, Carl sent me a funny webcomic related to Persona 4. Spoilers for those who just started the game. Well, it's a lot funnier if you read it after you beat the game anyway =P
Day-to-day wise, I've just been working a lot. Saving money, but at the same time, spending money to pay off my loans from when I attended the Art Institue =___=;;;;; I swear,... I'm not gonna apply for loans for when I go wherever I transfer to... .... ....... >=/ Oh! I also finished Gurren Lagann. That anime was pretty fun =]
